Teambuilding & Leadership

From schools to corporate groups to family reunions, Leadership and Teambuilding programs create and develop the community within your group.

Work  with Silver Bay's Program staff to design and develop a program that meets the goals and objectives of your group. Below are a few examples of what we offer

Activities

Low Ropes Course  - Practice teamwork and leadership skills on our low ropes course, a dozen stations spread throughout a wooded area on the south side of the Silver Bay campus.  Programs are tailored to the needs of each group, covering topics such as communication, thinking without boundaries, mutual support and looking beyond face value.

Climbing Wall  - Our 25-foot climbing wall offers fun and adventure for all ages in a safe and encouraging environment. The wall is suitable for beginning to experienced climbers and Silver Bay can provide sessions ranging from a full introduction to the sport of climbing, to "Clip and Go" sessions to practice and improve your climbing skills.

Wilderness Initiative Course - Hiking, orienteering and problem solving promotes leadership and group work. Our facilitators ensure the emotional and phsyical safety of the group as it negotiates the wilderness above Silver Bay. This 3-hour to full-day program includes bush-whacking, off-trail scramblinjg and other initiatives - tailored to suit the needs of the group - on pristine land with frequent lake views.

Dropping - This team building activity challenges your group in the dark! At dusk, the group is lead away from home. The challenge: find your way back to home base. Groups are continuously monitored by a facilitator to ensure uncompromising safety. This amazing activity can also be adapted to multiple groups - introducing a complex level of group interaction.

Labyrinth  - Labyrinths are a tool dating from pre-history, and are used to guide healing, deepen self knowledge, empower creativity and for reflection on an event or decision. This is a labyrinth without dead ends or confusing turns. The Silver Bay labyrinth can be used with or without staff guidance.

New Games  - Icebreakers & team builders are great fun!  They can be used anywhere and familiarize a group with a new and unfamiliar place. These non-competative games focus on introducing participants to one another and sparking excitement for the next experience.
