Volunteer at Silver Bay

At Silver Bay volunteering is a tradition. 2009 was another outstanding year for Silver Bay's volunteer program. Volunteers donated 8,092 documented hours working along side Silver Bay staff in building strong families, strong kids, and strong communities.

Volunteer Coordinator, Carroll LaPann, notes volunteer service is an important component of not-for-profit organizations like the YMCA.  Silver Bay YMCA of the Adirondacks is extremely grateful for all who volunteer their time and talent.

Please contact Carroll LaPann for further information on volunteer opportunities.  Carroll can be reached at  Clapann@silverbay.org  or at (518) 543-8833 x 207.

"Volunteering a few hours a week gave me a chance to give to Silver Bay.  It was a way to help others and a small percentage of time out of a week that I was blessed to be at Silver Bay."
- Volunteer Laura Marks

We are currently seeking volunteers for archery, swim lessons, gardening, concierge, ice cream store, boathouse, craft shop, and various other program areas.  You must be at least 12 years of age to volunteer and training will be provided where required.

"Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life.
It's the way in which we ourselves grow and develop".
