Membership
Silver Bay is a membership organization. When you become a member of Silver Bay, you are able to access the Silver Bay campus, gift shop, library, Sunday Worship, the Store, and the ability to purchase a program package to make a reservation and receive Silver Bay publications.

Meals Meals are served buffet style. The food options are the chef's choice and always include a vegetarian entree. Please notify Silver Bay of any special dietary needs or food allergies. We will do our best to accommodate all allergies and dietary needs. We do not guarantee a peanut free environment.

Lunch: 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Dinner: 5:30 – 7:00 PM

For cottage guests, members staying off campus or visitors, meal tickets can be purchased at the front desk.

Programs and Activities Plan your stay by viewing this website to become familiar with all that Silver Bay has to offer. Please note there are some programs that require registration and additional fees. You are welcome to sign up prior to your arrival for these programs. A schedule of program hours and activities can be found in the Breeze, a weekly publication that will be available in your room, at the front desk, or on this website.

Accommodations Silver Bay is designed for enjoying the beauty of Lake George and the Adirondack Mountains, rest, relaxation, and reconnecting with friends and family. Therefore, televisions and telephones are not available in our guest rooms.

Parking: The Inn circle is available for short term parking while you are checking in. After check-in, please move your vehicle to the main parking lot across from the dining hall. There are other parking areas available depending upon your accommodation location.

Badges At check-in, each guest listed on your reservation will receive a badge to be worn while on campus. This badge is used for admission to program areas and to the dining hall if your reservation includes meals.

Telephone and Internet Due to limited cell phone service, there are several ways to connect:

  • Calling cards are available at the front desk and gift shop for purchase. 
  • There are phones located in the Inn lobby and on the front porch. 
  • If a family member needs to reach you, our number is 518-543-8833, press 4. 
    •  A message will be taken and your name will posted on the message board at the front desk in the Inn.
  • For those guests who wish to stay a little more connected, we have wireless internet access. 
    • Wireless locations: The Inn Watson Arts Center Bayview Lodge The Store 
    • Plug in service for your laptop is available 

Adult Beverages Silver Bay may allow adult beverages for special events through an application and policy approval process. For more information please contact Conference Services. Otherwise, Silver Bay is a dry campus and alcohol is prohibited.

Visitors Visitors are welcome to purchase a daily membership and program to enjoy the Silver Bay campus. Memberships are purchased at the front desk.

Cancellation Policy

Laundry There is a coin operated laundry room available to all guests located on the lower level of the Administration building.

Vending Machines Vending machings are located in the Gym, 1st floor of the Inn, and guest laundry room.

Smoking Fire regulations prohibit smoking in all rooms and buildings on campus. Please dispose of your cigarette butts in the receptacles located at various spots on campus.

  • Cancellations up to 31 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund of deposit minus a $100 processing fee. 
  • Cancellations 0-30 days prior to arrival: 50% of the deposit will be non-refundable; remaining 50% may be applied to another reservation during the current fiscal year or transferred to another guest. Full deposit minus a $100 processing fee may be refunded if space is resold. It is the guests' responsibility to contact Silver Bay to verify if the space was resold. 
  • No billing adjustments will be made to reservation changes, due to late arrival and/or early departure, 0-30 days prior to arrival. 
  •  Guests who fail to cancel their reservation prior to their arrival date will forfeit all deposits.

Future Reservations

  • For all reservation requests received by April 15, 2011, we will do our best to place you in your accommodation of choice; cottages will be placed as follows:
    • When more than one request is made for the same cottage, points from year 2010 will apply.
    • For all reservation requests received after April 15, 2011, they will be placed on a first come, first serve basis.
  • A $100 non-refundable deposit is due to hold this reservation. 
  • In January 2012, you will receive a letter requesting a 50% deposit for your 2012 reservation.
  • If we do not receive the 50% deposit two weeks from the date of the letter, all reservations will be released. 
  • In January 2012, you will also receive a request for 2013 reservations. 
  • Deadline for 2013 reservation will be April 15, 2012. Cottage points will be based on 2011 levels.
