Our programs create a fun, safe experience where children and teens learn new skills, enhance their self esteem and create memories for a lifetime.  Children’s & Teen Programs offer Full Member and Non-Full Member Rates unless otherwise noted.

Silver Camp & Teen Program
Staffed by a dynamic team of Children’s Leaders, and guided by the YMCA Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility the children’s programs offers games, music, ice-cream making, crafts, archery, boating, climbing, fitness, hiking, overnights and of course making new friends.  Activities do vary based on age and weekly schedule.

Half Day-Silver Camp
Monday-Friday 8:30am-11:30am
Ages 6 weeks through entering 6th Grade

Half Day-Teen Program
Monday-Friday 8:30am-11:30am
Entering grades 7th through 12th
Program times may vary based on planned activities. 
Some activities may require additional fees for off-site day trips and overnights.

Full Day- Silver Camp and Teen Program
Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm
Entering grades 1st through 8th
This program includes swim lessons.
Transportation available for residents of Hague and Ticonderoga

This New York State Licensed Day Camp requires pre-registration, medical forms and additional fees.

Swim Lessons
YMCA Swim Lessons promote children’s health, safety, and self esteem while they learn valuable lifelong skills.  Parent-child swim lessons are held for children ages 2 – 4 and group lessons are held for children 5 and up.  Registration and additional fees are required.

Afterschool and Vacation Camp Program
Learning and growing continues after the bell! Our Afterschool Program is more than childcare. It is a curriculum-rich program of activities staffed by professionals. The program has been created by Silver Bay YMCA of the Adirondacks in partnership with Ticonderoga Central School. 

This program runs Monday through Friday 2:30pm-6:00pm.  And Vacation Camp is available 8:00am-4:00pm, to aid parents during school breaks.  See registration form for rates.

Child Watch
This evening baby-sitting services for members and guests is available two evenings per week during the summer season. This 3hr program is provided by trained staff to care for children aged 6 months or older and will offer a dynamic array of age appropriate activities. Advance sign up at the front desk is required.

Teen Art Classes *NEW for 2010*
Express yourself through art with your peers.  Teens entering grades 7th through 12th will be experience several different mediums from watercolor and drawing to pottery and stained glass these classes are designed specifically for this age group.  Classes are design for all levels and meet Monday through Friday 9am-11:30 am at Watson Art Center.  *Additional fee for materials

Youth & Government
YMCA Youth & Government is a successful high school program that builds self-esteem and confidence, teaching youth about the principles of democratic government and allowing them the opportunity to interact with state officials.  Silver Bay oversees District 6 which includes programs at local high schools and Glens Falls YMCA.
