The Archives of Silver Bay YMCA of the Adirondacks Heritage Hall together with its legal predecessors hereinafter referred to as “Silver Bay Heritage Hall Archives” was established in 1991 as a collection of documents and artifacts gathered over the life of the organization to preserve the historical record of the founding, development, service, facilities and vision of its membership and for the edification and entertainment of the general public and for research and reference use.

The Silver Bay Heritage Hall Museum and Archives are located behind the fireplace in Gullen Lounge in Silver Bay’s historic Inn.

The museum is open during Silver Bay’s regular hours of operation.

The archives houses documents (minutes, papers, correspondence, communications, publications, photographs, slides, film, audio and video tapes, blueprints, maps, deeds, books) and artifacts that are clearly related to Silver Bay, its history, and its work.  The archives are open by appointment.

All reproduction and usage requests must be submitted to the Archie Department and the Photographic Agreement must be filled out. Prepayment for usage is required before the request is fulfilled.
