All individuals who include Silver Bay in their estate plans are members of White Birch.
What types of planned gifts are accepted by Silver Bay?
Bequests
The Silver Bay Association can be named in your will with a specific bequests of cash, named securities, or other assets. You can also provide for Silver Bay by designating all or a percentage of the remainder of your estate. Click here for more information.
Retirement Plan Assets
The Silver Bay Association can be named as the full or partial beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), or other retirement plan. This is easily accomplished by filling out the appropriate Change of Beneficiary forms and sending Silver Bay a copy for our files.
Life Insurance
You can name The Silver Bay Association as the beneficiary of a current life insurance policy or you can purchase a new policy and name Silver bay as the owner and beneficiary.
Charitable Remainder Trust
A charitable remainder trust provides income to you and/or another beneficiary for life or a term of years. A trust may be established to provide either a fixed income or a variable income.
Formed in 1976, White Birch is a caring group of individuals who have remembered Silver Bay in their wills or through other planned and deferred gifts. Just as the beautiful white birch trees grace Silver Bay’s hillsides and pathways, White Birch donors generously acknowledge the importance of Silver Bay’s mission and vision for generations to come.
All White Birch members receive a special pin and are invited to attend an annual recognition event at Silver Bay.
